Vintage Afghan Baluch Geometric Bag-Face Rug – 1′8″ × 1′11″

$89.99

This one-of-a-kind vintage textile is attributed to the Afghan Baluch weaving tradition and was likely originally created as the decorative pile face of a tribal storage or saddle bag.

Its dark navy and brown field is organized into a grid of repeating angular motifs in terracotta, rust red, orange and golden ochre. The forms resemble stylized leaves, pinwheels or radiating flowers, producing a lively geometric rhythm across the surface.

A bold border surrounds the field with ivory meander motifs, deep blue sections and alternating red and orange details. The contrasting palette and compact format make the textile especially suitable for layered and collected interiors.

Measuring approximately 20 × 23 inches, it may be used as a small accent rug, framed wall textile, tabletop layer, bench covering or decorative cushion front.
