Unique Vintage Afghan Baluch Bag Face Textile – 19″ × 21″

This one-of-a-kind vintage textile is attributed to the Afghan Baluch weaving tradition and was likely originally created as the decorative face of a nomadic storage or saddle bag.

Its nearly square composition centers on four horizontal geometric bands. Rich red interlocking motifs alternate with dark navy and ochre-gold designs, each separated by fine ivory guard lines. A deep indigo field surrounds the central panel, while the burgundy outer border is filled with small repeating ivory diamonds.

The visible weave, slight asymmetry, perimeter wear and color variation reflect its handmade construction and vintage history.

Measuring approximately 19 × 21 inches, this compact piece may be displayed as a small accent rug, framed wall textile, tabletop layer or decorative pillow front.
