Vintage Afghan Baluch Bag Face Wool Rug – 2′ × 2′7″

This one-of-a-kind vintage tribal textile is attributed to the Afghan Baluch weaving tradition. Its richly layered composition centers on a dark rectangular panel filled with repeating burgundy hooked motifs, fine dotted details and a small ivory-outlined medallion accented with blue.

A deep navy field surrounds the center and is decorated with rows of stylized geometric forms in burgundy and rust. The broad outer border alternates stepped motifs, diamonds and X-shaped elements in warm tan, ivory, brown and orange-red.

Measuring approximately 24 × 31 inches, its compact format is consistent with a traditional bag face or decorative tribal panel. Today, it works beautifully as a small accent rug, wall hanging, framed textile, tabletop display or layered interior accent.

The textile retains the subtle fading, low pile, minor edge wear and irregularities expected from a handmade vintage piece.
