Antique “Kerman - Shah” Hand Knotted Wool Rug 6’3 x 8’8 Floral Medallion Ivory

A one-of-a-kind antique hand-knotted wool rug measuring approximately 6’3” × 8’8”.

The design is centered around an elaborate floral medallion surrounded by finely detailed botanical motifs and multiple coordinating borders. Its warm ivory and cream foundation is layered with burgundy, deep navy, muted blue-green, rust and softly faded neutral tones, creating a sophisticated palette that works beautifully with both traditional and collected contemporary interiors.

What makes this piece especially distinctive is its natural age and patina. The pile has worn substantially through portions of the field, particularly toward the lower center, creating an authentic distressed appearance that cannot be replicated by new production. Variations in pile, coloring, edges and surface are consistent with an older handmade rug and form part of its character.
